  • cups 190 g all‑purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 6 tablespoons 85 g unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup 100 g granulated sugar
  • ½ cup 110 g light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup 175 g semisweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: flaky sea salt or coarse sugar for sprinkling

Method
 

  1. Preheat air fryer to 330 °F (165 °C) and line basket with parchment or liner.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in egg and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop 6–8 dough balls into basket, spacing evenly.
  8. Bake 8–10 minutes, until edges are golden and centers soft.
  9. Let cookies rest in basket 2–3 minutes; transfer to rack.
  10. Repeat with remaining dough.
