- Mix in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually stir in dry ingredients.
- Fold in chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 11–13 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cookies rest for 5 minutes on baking sheet before cooling completely on a rack.
