Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • ¾ cup dried cranberries
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg, vanilla, and orange zest.
  5. Stir in dry ingredients just until combined.
  6. Fold in cranberries and chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes on sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
