  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar packed
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg yolk discard or save the white
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, melt the softened butter (about 20 seconds).
  2. Stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  3. Whisk in the egg yolk until fully incorporated.
  4. Add flour and mix until a thick dough forms.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Microwave on high for 50–60 seconds, watching carefully to avoid overflow.
  7. Let rest for 1–2 minutes; enjoy directly from the mug or transfer to a plate.
