Ingredients
  

  • 2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped macadamia nuts or dried cranberries

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy (2–3 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually blend in dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips (and optional add-ins).
  7. Scoop 2 Tbsp dough balls onto sheets, 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Rotate halfway.
  9. Cool on sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
